Stop Choosing Creators by Followers. Choose Them by Performance.

    The old contract

Every UGC marketplace works the same way:

    • You look at portraits, portfolios and follower counts.

    • You read ratings from other brands.

    • You send a brief and a fee to the creator you hope will convert.

    • You wait for delivery.

    • You find out whether it worked after you've already paid.

Billo, Trend.io, Insense, JoinBrands, Collabstr, Upfluence, Meta Creator Marketplace and TikTok Creator Marketplace each streamline pieces of this. They are useful platforms.

But the fundamental order is unchanged: decide first, learn later.

That's a bad order for anyone spending real money on creative.

    What if you inverted it

AdArena runs the sequence in reverse:

    1. Open a brief. The whole global network sees it.

    2. Creators submit concepts. You have not committed a dollar to any specific person yet.

    3. The community and the brand filter the finalists. Signal from taste + signal from strategic fit.

    4. Winners go to paid media. Real audiences, real spend, real numbers.

    5. You see who performed — not who has 400k followers, not who has a slick portfolio, but who moved your CAC.

    6. Direct Hire the proven ones. You now have a shortlist earned by results, not by pitch decks.

Nobody wasted a briefing call on a creator whose style didn't fit. Nobody paid for deliverables that never had a chance.

The uncomfortable truth about follower counts

Follower count correlates with reach. It does not correlate with conversion for your specific product, in your specific category, at this specific moment.

We see it every week: a creator with 8k followers outperforms one with 800k on the same brief. Not because the small creator is objectively better, but because their aesthetic, their pacing, their humor happened to match the audience segment that was ready to buy.

You could never have predicted that from a profile.

    What Direct Hire actually solves

Once a creator wins a competition, you already know four things about them:

    • Their concept worked for your brand.

    • Their execution held up under paid distribution.

    • Their communication and turnaround are inside your tolerance.

    • Their price-to-performance ratio is proven, not implied.

Now you can hire them again with confidence, at a rate that reflects actual delivered performance. That is a completely different negotiation than the first-time-buyer negotiation on a traditional marketplace.

    The strategic reframe

Traditional marketplaces sell you access to a pool of creators. AdArena sells you access to a filtered pool of creators who have already proven they can win with brands like yours.

Don't hire, hope, and test. Test, prove, then hire.

The second sequence is faster, cheaper, and, more importantly, honest with the money.
